Study Trip to Tel Aviv University, Israel

To enable participants to learn more about Israel’s economic success and develop their own innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, the program partnered with the world-class Tel Aviv University in Israel to conduct an Israel study trip between July 24 and 29. The trip was an integral part of an elective course entitled “Selected Topics in Business and Management: SMI - Strategic Mindset and Innovation - The Israeli Model.” Senior faculty at Tel Aviv University conducted a series of seminars on the following topics: “Israel and the Middle East at a glance,” “introduction to Jewish philosophy and culture - the origins of Israeli innovation,” “the Israeli high-tech industry,” “strategic innovation models,” “the Israeli VC industry, incubator model and enterprise funding,” “from vision to reality - the entrepreneurial journey,” “guiding your creative mind towards success,” “corporate innovation and digital leadership,” “innovation economy - lessons from Israel for emerging markets” and “disrupting markets through software applications - demonstrating the power of drones and virtual reality.” The participants also visited The Bridge by Coca-Cola, The Floor Hub, Ecomotion, Kibbutz Magal, Netafim, Kornit and CogniTeam.

Since 2011, partnerships have been established between CUHK’s EMBA program and other world-class universities to offer EMBA participants the opportunity to undertake global study trips. Among our partnering universities are Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge and the Tel Aviv University.
