Myanmar Field Trip

To enable participants to learn more about the recent developments and available opportunities in Myanmar, one of the key countries targeted in the “One Belt, One Road” national project, the program partnered with the Hong Kong Myanmar Chamber of Commerce to organize a study trip to Myanmar between March 14 and 17. The trip was an integral part of an elective course entitled “Selected Topics in Business and Management: Globalization, New World and the Rise of China — Leadership in the New Era.” During the trip, EMBA participants visited various important government agencies and large corporations, with visits to the Mayor of Yangon, the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce Industry, the Myanmar Investment Commission, Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa, Thilawa Special Economic Zone, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Myanmar and Pun Hlaing Estate. The participants also met and interacted with EMBA students at Yangon University of Economics.
